FAQ
-
My motto is simple: client first. While there are many talented photographers out there, I believe what truly sets me apart is my commitment to understanding my client’s vision. Every location has endless possibilities for how it can be captured, and my first priority is always to fully grasp what my client wants to achieve. What are their goals? What features do they want to showcase the most? How do they want these images to make their future clients feel? Once I understand that, I develop a game plan to bring that vision to life.
I’m also flexible when it comes to how I work. Some clients prefer to be hands-on during a shoot, while others prefer to step back and let me do my thing—I’m comfortable and efficient in either setting.
Above all, I want every shoot to be enjoyable. I bring a balance of professionalism and humor to each project, ensuring the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. After all, great work comes from clear communication, a focus on excellence, and a shared commitment to enjoying the process.
Lastly, I take great pride in the postproduction process. After carefully crafting the perfect shot, I dedicate close to two hours to editing each image, fine-tuning the colors, and ensuring everything looks its absolute best. This attention to detail in postproduction is a major factor that sets my work apart. I genuinely love this part of the process—it’s where the magic happens.

For architectural, hospitality, tourism, and design photography, I offer either a per-image, all-inclusive fee or three tiered packages, each designed to provide clarity, flexibility, and exceptional value.
What’s Included
Each option covers the full scope of work required to successfully complete your project. This includes pre-production efforts such as client correspondence, advance site visits when needed, and site-specific planning and preparation, as well as the time spent on-site photographing your space.
Post-Production & Licensing
Following the shoot, I dedicate significant time to refining each selected image. This process includes color correction, retouching, compositing when necessary, and preparing final files for delivery. Every approved image includes a full commercial license, allowing you to use the photography across all platforms without additional restrictions or hidden fees.
The only limitation is that images may not be distributed or shared with third parties who have not obtained a license—either through cost-sharing or by licensing directly from me at a later date. Unlimited revisions are included to ensure the final images align perfectly with your vision.
Package Structure
With each package, the per-image cost decreases as the number of licensed images increases, offering greater value for larger projects while maintaining the same level of care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

Steps for Working Together
1. Initial Consultation (ZOOM Call)
Let’s start with a ZOOM call where we’ll discuss your project, goals, and how you plan to use the images. This helps me fully understand your vision and ensures we’re aligned from the start.
2. Proposal & Agreement
After our call, I’ll create a detailed proposal for your review. Once the terms are agreed upon, you’ll sign the contract and submit a $299 deposit to secure your booking.
3. Walk-Through of the Space
We’ll schedule a walk-through of the space to be photographed. This is an essential step where I’ll learn what’s most important to you, identify key angles, and plan for the shoot day.
4. Shoot Date Confirmation
We’ll confirm a shoot date that works for you. On the day of the shoot, I’ll create stunning images based on our walk-through insights. You’re welcome to collaborate on-site or let me work independently, using the details you’ve shared.
5. File Backup & Proof Gallery
After the shoot, I’ll secure and back up all files, ensuring your images are safe. Once complete, I’ll send you a preliminary edit through an online proof gallery for your review.
6. Selections & Final Invoice
You’ll select your favorite images from the proof gallery. I’ll then issue a final invoice and begin the full polish on your chosen images.
7. Final Edits & Delivery
I’ll carefully refine your selected images to ensure they’re perfect and submit them for review. You’re welcome to request changes—I’ll work with you until you’re 100% satisfied. Once approved and the invoice is paid, I’ll deliver the final files via WeTransfer, including high-resolution files for print and web-optimized versions.
8. Ongoing Collaboration
My goal is to make this the start of a long-term partnership. Whether it’s this project or future collaborations, I’m here to help bring your vision to life through meaningful photography.
9. Two-Year Archival of Final Selections
As a bonus, I will securely archive your final images for two years following the completion of our project. While I highly recommend creating your own backups, you’re welcome to contact me within that timeframe for another copy. I’ll be happy to provide it at no additional cost.

Yes, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit goes toward the total cost of the project and ensures that we are both committed to the scheduled shoot. The balance is due after you've made your final selections from the initial proof sheet and I begin my final edit.

I retain the copyrights to all images I create, meaning I am the legal owner of the images.
When I license an image to a client, the client receives a license to use the image within the agreed-upon scope (such as for marketing or advertising purposes), but the copyright remains with me. For example, if you use one of my photos on your website or in a brochure, you have the right to use it as agreed, but I still maintain ownership of the image.

Yes, the standard license included grants usage rights in perpetuity, as outlined in the contract terms. See below per our contract.
Client UsageLimited Commercial Use License. Client is purchasing from Photographer high-resolution un-watermarked digital files and Photographer is issuing to Client a non-exclusive perpetual limited license for Client’s limited commercial use of the digital files in the normal course of Client’s business, including, but not limited to, advertising, print materials, marketing, or other promotions, or on Client’s website, blog, or social media platforms. Client understands that the digital files are meant for print and online marketing and advertising materials or campaigns. The digital files may be not altered, edited, or manipulated in any way, except that the Client may crop as needed, add their business name, logo, website, or other advertising or marketing campaign text to the digital files so long as it does not affect the elements of the image as styled by Photographer. The digital files may not be used by anyone other than the Client unless an additional license has been purchased. The Client cannot sell, lease, or give images to third party. The Client can provide an image to a third party who has purchased a separate license.
-
Third-party usage is not included in the standard licensing. If others wish to use the images, they must obtain an appropriate usage license. I offer a cost-sharing model, which is available once final selections have been made.
Cost sharing allows multiple parties to split the production costs, making the shoot more affordable for everyone involved. A 30% cost-sharing fee is added for each additional party, which serves as a licensing fee for their use of the photos.
Here’s the breakdown:
1 license – $99 per image
2 licenses – $128.70 per image ($99 + 30%)
3 licenses – $167.31 per image ($128.70 + 30%)
4 licenses – $217.50 per image ($167.31 + 30%)
This cost is divided among the parties, reducing the total cost per image as more licenses are added.
-
If you didn’t utilize the cost-sharing model during the initial selection process, you can still obtain a standard license for $135 per image. All standard licensing terms apply.
Email me at paul@langephotostudio.com with your request, and I’ll provide an online link to process payment. Once payment is complete, you’ll receive two folders via WeTransfer: one containing high-resolution files optimized for print and another with files sized for web use. -
Absolutely! I love traveling for projects and, while I do charge a nominal travel fee, I don’t aim to profit from travel expenses. Below is a breakdown of the travel fees:
Anywhere within 45 miles of Charlotte, NC – No travel charge
46-100 miles – $30 travel fee
101-150 miles – $50 travel fee
151-225 miles – $75 travel fee
226-300 miles – $100 travel fee
Hotels: $130 per night or below
Flights: Cost at the time of booking (no upcharge) -
Fortunately, I’ve never had that request, but I understand it may be a concern for potential clients.
I work closely with each client to ensure I fully understand the type of photos they’re looking for before I begin shooting. This process helps to prevent any surprises. However, if, for any reason, a client isn’t satisfied and doesn’t wish to license any photos, I would be happy to reshoot the entire project at no additional cost. If reshooting isn’t an option, I would not feel right billing for photos that weren’t loved. It’s crucial to me that my images help you attract more clients, and I stand by that commitment.

Yes, I also offer a discounted flat-rate package when the full balance is paid up front. This option bundles the Creative Fee, all selected images, post-production, and licensing into a single all-inclusive rate.
“As the primary coordinator of project photography at my architecture and engineering firm, I have worked with Paul on several projects. I have found him to be exceptionally organized, responsive, and accommodating. Even when we faced shifting construction completion dates and unexpected staging challenges, he remained flexible and solution-oriented, helping us problem-solve and make things work on tight timelines!
His professionalism and positive attitude makes everything run smoothly, and we’re very happy with the final results. For firms that need to coordinate a lot of project photography captures at once, having a photographer like Paul who stays on top of things and helps to build schedules is a major asset.
Looking forward to working together again in the future!”
