LandDesign invited me to photograph the landscape architecture at Regent Eastover, a project that required a careful balance between design focus and urban context. We identified two primary areas of emphasis: the front entry sequence and the upper-level exterior amenity space, photographing each at different times of day to capture how the spaces function under varying light conditions.

One of the primary challenges was location. Because the amenity space sits on the top floor, surrounding elements—telephone poles, overhead cables, and nearby rooftops—had the potential to distract from the landscape design. I approached each composition intentionally, using framing and perspective to isolate their work and keep attention where it belonged.

At the same time, we wanted to acknowledge the building’s relationship to Uptown, particularly in the evening. Night photography allowed the project to feel grounded in its urban setting while maintaining a clean, refined visual language. In post-production, I subtly enhanced plant density and vitality to ensure the landscape appeared healthy and well-established.

The final images strike a strong balance between clarity and context.
