It was a pleasure to work with Neighboring Concepts again on this multi-family housing project. Together, we bundled three properties into a single assignment, creating an efficient approach to documenting the firm's work across multiple locations.
The process began with a creative planning call involving the lead architect, Daniel, and Marketing Manager, Haley. We discussed the project's goals, key design features, and how the images would be used. From there, Haley and I visited each property, where she highlighted the exterior elements Daniel wanted to showcase, along with several key amenity spaces that were important to capture.
I photographed the properties over several consecutive days and was fortunate to have excellent weather throughout the project. Using both ground-based photography and drone imagery, I focused on capturing each building in its best light while highlighting the relationship between the architecture and the surrounding community. As part of the post-production process, I also completed detailed environmental refinements, including lawn restoration and the removal of visual distractions, helping each property present at its absolute best.
What I enjoy most about photographing multi-family communities is balancing the architectural story with the human experience of the space. These developments provide much-needed housing while creating environments that foster connection, safety, and pride among residents. My goal is always to create images that communicate both the design intent and the impact of the project.
I was thrilled with how these photographs came together, and Daniel was very pleased with the final collection.
