Monday Night Brewing is a top-notch local brewery in Charlotte. I created this photo series for LandDesign, the landscape architect behind the project.
Hattie wanted to highlight four key sections of the outdoor space, with a particular emphasis on the mound—an original and defining feature of the landscape.
The biggest challenge? Shooting during full operation. As you can imagine, the walkways, mulch, and rocks showed natural wear and tear, some grass areas were thinning, and plastic cups occasionally found their way into the frame. On top of that, temperatures pushed past one hundred degrees on both shooting days.
To keep the shoot authentic and well-prepared, I coordinated with the onsite manager ahead of time and checked in with them before each session. I also brought a few patrons into the photos, which added a natural, lively energy to the scenes. People were excited to help out!
Anything we couldn’t perfect onsite, I refined in post-production—cleaning up details, restoring landscape elements, and making sure the final images felt vibrant and polished.
The resulting series highlights the landscape beautifully, showcasing how guests enjoy the space throughout the day and into the evening. I’m thrilled with how it all came together.
