Mimi and I began, as we often do, with a collaborative call to align on the homes she wanted photographed. She shared updated inspiration images and mood boards for each space, reinforcing our shared goal of creating interiors that feel cozy, inviting, and moody—rooms that draw you in and encourage you to linger.

After reviewing her references, I developed tailored lighting plans for each project to support the atmosphere she envisioned. Building on our previous work together, I focused on using one to two light sources—typically positioned to the side or behind the composition—while carefully flagging off competing light to preserve depth, warmth, and tonal consistency.

Across five distinct homes, our work unfolded seamlessly over multiple shoot days, with each session efficiently translating a shared creative vision into finished images. The final photographs highlight both the design details of each interior and the intimate, welcoming mood Mimi set out to create. And, as always, we had a great time bringing these spaces to life together.
