Mimi and I began with a collaborative call to discuss the homes she wanted photographed. She shared inspiration images and mood boards for each space, emphasizing the importance of creating interiors that feel cozy, inviting, and moody—rooms that make someone want to settle in and stay awhile.

After reviewing her references, I developed tailored lighting plans for each project to capture the atmosphere she envisioned. Throughout the shoots, I focused on using one to two light sources—primarily from the side or back of each composition—carefully flagging off other light to preserve the intended tone and depth.

Across all three homes, the sessions were highly efficient, completed over the course of several shoot days, and we successfully achieved the desired effect. The final results highlight both the beauty of the interiors and the intimate, welcoming ambiance Mimi wanted to convey. And we had a great time creating them together!

If you want to showcase your interiors with photography that captures mood, character, and a sense of invitation, I’d love to help. Let’s connect and discuss how to bring your vision to life.
